Most formally, she is known as Chewbacca, because as a Yorkie she grows quite a luxurious coat of hair. Chewy was picked up by Animal Control, out on her own, with tangles galore. She is sporting her summer trim, and has been enjoying the loving attention of her foster home. On her first day, she marched past a Great Pyrenees, and then proceeded to settle in nicely. As her foster says, “Chewy is a feisty little dolly and reminds me of Ma Kettle. She is truly a take charge kind of gal.”

Not quite 10 pounds, and a senior of about 11 years, Chewy is a happy and affectionate girl, and she has completed a full vet checkup and dental care. She is ready for her next adventure and her forever home. If you think that could be you, please complete an adoption application.

Fence very helpful, as she likes to explore. Good with dogs and adults, older children. Cats unknown. House trained but needs to be “heard” when she asks to go outside. Is okay home alone for short periods but not all day. Has a sharp bark so a private home is best.
