Rose is a collaborative post with Northwoods Humane Society.

Rose is a very very very sweet red Coonhound who has more than earned a soft landing spot in her senior years. She is 10 years old, and is believed to have had many litters. Rose was kept outside prior to being brought to Northwoods Humane Society. She is a trooper, overcoming emaciation and interacting with everyone with a hugely positive attitude. Rose is a lover not a fighter for sure! She loves polite walks on a leash, loves being gentle with children, and in general is an easygoing girl who has not had it easy.

Rose is an elder pup who responds to TLC in big doses. She has skin allergies that may be seasonal (as in a good Minnesota freeze will help them) but for now she requires medications for ease and comfort.  A volunteer donated an orthopedic bed for Rose that goes with her to a home. She does well with children, adults, and other dogs. We think she does well with cats, as she has interacted with office cats and not aggressively chased them.

If you can offer a heart and home to Rose, please get in touch with us to ask about fostering her.
